Organized online by Garena, a leading game developer and publisher, from October 22 to 25, the tournament featured 18 teams from across Asia.

GOW’s triumph was particularly remarkable as the team had finished 11th among 18 competitors in the group stage with 152 points, barely qualifying for the finals, while another Vietnamese representative, P Esports, topped the standings with 221 points.

The grand finals brought together 12 teams from six Asian countries and were played under the Champion Rush format, which required teams to reach a 110-point threshold and then win a subsequent match to clinch the title.

GOW failed to win any of the first six matches, while Indonesia's Bigetron by Vitality claimed two victories and Thailand's Buriram United, the reigning world champion, won the sixth match.

The turning point came in the seventh match on the Purgatory map, when GOW scored 39 points to bring its total to 112, surpassing the 110-point threshold and becoming eligible to compete for the title under the Champion Rush format.

In the eighth match on the Solara map, GOW faced India's Clutza Esports in the decisive battle after Bigetron and Bangladesh's Team Rage were eliminated in the final circle.

GOW's Piciu gained an advantage with a headshot, while Gocu secured a crucial elimination as Clutza tried to revive a teammate and counterattack.

GOW eventually eliminated all its opponents to secure its second consecutive match victory and clinch the title.

The Vietnamese team finished with 130 points, matching Buriram United's total, while Bigetron by Vitality placed third with 129 points.

Buriram recorded 83 eliminations, two more than GOW, but the Vietnamese team claimed the title by meeting both requirements under the Champion Rush format: reaching the 110-point threshold and winning a subsequent match.

GOW received US$15,000 in prize money, while Buriram United took home $7,500 and Bigetron earned $3,500.

P Esports, Vietnam's other representative, finished seventh with 111 points.
