The launch ceremony took place at the Quezon Memorial Circle in Quezon City, with the attendance of senior Philippine officials, the Vietnamese ambassador to the Philippines, and nearly 100 partners from sectors including banking, transport, technology, and retail.
Green GSM will initially operate in 10 out of 16 cities within Metro Manila, a densely populated region home to over 13 million residents.
Its fleet will feature eco-friendly VinFast Nerio Green electric vehicles, equipped with the Secure to Safe monitoring system designed to enhance safety for passengers, particularly women, children, and the elderly.
Nguyen Van Thanh, Global CEO of GSM, said the expansion into the Philippines marks a significant step in the company’s Go Green Global journey and reflects its commitment to fostering a more sustainable mode of urban transportation in Southeast Asia.
Commuters can book a ride through the Green GSM mobile app, via the hotline 02-7777-8080, or by hailing Green GSM taxis at designated public pickup points throughout Metro Manila.
Launched in Vietnam in March 2023, GSM has emerged as a pioneer in sustainable transportation across Southeast Asia.
The company has since expanded operations to Laos, Indonesia, and now the Philippines—its fourth market—furthering its mission to set new standards for transportation that is ‘Greener - Smarter - More Civilized’ both regionally and globally.
