In their messages, Party General Secretary Lam and State President Cuong expressed their firm belief that with the prestige, mettle, and strategic vision of President Lee, South Korea will continue to develop strongly, achieve greater accomplishments, and affirm its international role and standing in the coming time.
They affirmed that they are ready to work closely with President Lee and South Korea to further promote the substantive, effective, and comprehensive development of the bilateral relations for the benefit of their people, contributing to peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.
On the same day, permanent member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Cam Tu sent a congratulatory message to Park Chan Dae, acting chairman of the Democratic Party of South Korea.
President Lee was sworn in and delivered a speech before the National Assembly on Wednesday morning. The official inauguration ceremony will take place on July 17.
The inauguration of South Korea's new president is expected to bring the country back to a period of stability, with consistent and predictable policies in response to the rapidly evolving and complex regional and global landscape.
South Korea will host key events of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Forum in 2025, of which Vietnam is a member.
The 2025 APEC Economic Leaders' Week is scheduled to take place in late October and early November.
