Throughout the competition, Mai Anh took the opportunity to introduce Vietnamese culture to fellow contestants and international audiences.
She frequently wore the traditional Vietnamese ao dai and showcased Lanh My A silk, one of Vietnam’s most distinctive traditional textile products.
“Whenever I wore the ao dai, many people came to compliment it and ask where it came from,” Mai Anh said.
“I was very happy and proud to tell them that it is the traditional dress of Vietnamese women.”
