The annual festival, themed ‘Consciencia’ this year, will take place over the last two weekends of July at De Schorre in Boom, Belgium, with mess. scheduled to appear during the second weekend, from July 24 to 26.

Originally from Son La Province in northern Vietnam, mess. has built a reputation as a behind-the-scenes producer working on tracks for artists within the country’s underground music scene.

Her music blends electronic, experimental, RnB, and hip-hop elements, combining contemporary production styles with influences drawn from local cultural identity.

At Tomorrowland, mess. will perform on the ‘House of Fortune by JBL’ stage alongside nearly 30 international DJs, introducing Vietnamese sounds to one of the world’s largest and most influential EDM festivals.

Tomorrowland is widely regarded as one of the most prominent electronic music festivals in the world, held annually in Belgium and featuring artists across generations, countries, and genres spanning the full spectrum of EDM.

The festival includes around 15-16 stages, each built around elaborate production concepts and a distinct annual theme.

According to Hoang Huy Thinh, founder of the hip-hop and underground music community page ‘Co Dong,’ a forum for hip-hop and underground music with nearly 500,000 followers, mess. pursues a state of ‘controlled chaos,’ using it to explore emotional depth and broaden the listener’s sonic experience.

Over the years, she has released projects including the album ‘Fearless,’ collaborated with Vietnamese rapper Suboi on the track ‘Pistol,’ and worked with Blak Ray on ‘Sunday.’

She also gained attention a few years ago for reinterpreting ‘Sac mau,’ a classic Vietnamese song by composer Tran Tien, into a breakbeat-driven production using sampling techniques commonly associated with funk, jazz, and RnB.

Among major headliners at this year’s Tomorrowland lineup is Scottish DJ and producer Calvin Harris, who will make his Tomorrowland Belgium debut, returning to the broader Tomorrowland universe after his landmark set at TomorrowWorld 2013 in the United States.

Other notable acts on this year’s Tomorrowland line-up include David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Hardwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, The Chainsmokers, John Summit, and Nervo.
