Vietnam’s National Assembly buildings open to public for National Day

Vietnam’s National Assembly Building and the headquarters of National Assembly agencies in Hanoi open to the public in celebration of the country's National Day, the legislature’s office said on Sunday.

The office of the National Assembly announced that in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2), the National Assembly Building at 1 Doc Lap Street and the headquarters of National Assembly agencies at 22 Hung Vuong Street will open their doors to provide convenience and the best experience for people visiting the Ba Dinh Square area.

At the National Assembly Building at 1 Doc Lap Street, the public is welcome to visit, take photos, use facilities, and take shelter from the rain in the Bac Son Street area and the first-floor lobby. However, parking is not allowed in this area.

Opening hours at the National Assembly Building are from August 28 to September 2, in the morning from 8:30 am to 11:30 am, and in the afternoon from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm.

At the headquarters of National Assembly agencies at 22 Hung Vuong Street, the public is permitted to use the facilities and take shelter from the rain within the lobbies and garden areas of the building. Parking is not allowed within the premises.

This location will be open from August 31 to September 2. On August 31 and September 1, the opening hours are from 8:00 am to 9:30 pm. On September 2, it will be open from 1:00 am until the end of the day.

In the announcement, the office of the National Assembly also emphasized that, to ensure security, order, and cleanliness, all visitors are required to strictly follow the instructions of security and protection forces.

Earlier, the Hanoi Department of Public Security had issued a traffic diversion and routing notice for vehicles to serve the parade celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.

Full, partial, and restricted traffic bans on certain streets will be enforced from 10:00 pm on September 1 to 1:00 pm on September 2.

The military parade commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day will take place from 6:30 am to 10:00 am on September 2.
