The awards were presented at a ceremony held on Monday in Hong Kong, where Pham Hong Thai, director of the park management board, accepted the honors on behalf of the site.

Organized annually since 1993, the World Travel Awards recognize excellence across the global travel, tourism and hospitality sectors.

Located in central Vietnam’s Quang Tri Province, Phong Nha-Ke Bang is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its extensive limestone cave systems and biodiversity.

The park has become one of the country’s most prominent eco-tourism destinations.

The management board said the double win marked a key milestone in promoting Vietnam’s natural tourism brand internationally and would help position Phong Nha-Ke Bang among the world’s top-tier national parks.

The recognition is seen as a significant boost for both the park and Vietnam’s central region, as the site transitions from a remote destination for adventure travelers to a premium nature tourism hub, the board said.
