This is the airline’s first direct flight from the Russian capital to the destination.
Flight VJ5074 departed from Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow at 12:25 am on Wednesday and arrived at Cam Ranh International Airport at 3:30 pm the same day.
The aircraft has a capacity of 370 passengers.
The inaugural flight was welcomed at Cam Ranh airport by Anex Vietnam Trading and Tourism Co., Ltd., Vietjet, and the Khanh Hoa Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Center.
Unlike flights from Russia to Cam Ranh currently operated by Russian airlines, the new service makes Vietjet the first Vietnamese carrier to operate a direct route from Moscow to Cam Ranh.
Russian visitors arriving on the flight were presented with flowers and welcome gifts.
Elena, a tourist from Moscow, said it was her first time visiting Khanh Hoa.
She added that she had learned about the destination through social media and particularly liked its beaches.
After arriving at her hotel, Elena said she planned to visit the Tram Huong Tower for a check-in photo.

She also said she was looking forward to exploring local food and distinctive structures in Vietnam.
Russian tourists visiting Khanh Hoa are expected to stay for 10 to 14 days, with accommodations at hotels in Nha Trang and seaside resorts and bungalows in the Bai Dai area.
The Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism said the Russian market, along with other international markets, plays an important role in the province’s tourism sector.
In the first eight months of 2026, Khanh Hoa recorded more than 18 million tourist arrivals, up 39.99 percent year on year. International arrivals exceeded 6.3 million, up 67.94 percent.
The province received 851,390 Russian visitors during the period, 3.05 times the figure recorded in the same period of 2025.
The Russian market contributed to the growth of international arrivals and tourism service businesses in the province.
