In a statement, VTV said it would hold multi-platform rights including television, radio, mobile, Internet, and public screenings, allowing nationwide access to the tournament.
The broadcaster said it would air all 104 matches live, along with the opening and closing ceremonies, highlights, and nine accompanying programs across its channels.
VTV added that it would offer additional viewing options such as live streaming, replays, video-on-demand, and social media content.
It also said it would be the only entity authorized to organize public screenings at venues such as fan zones, restaurants, cinemas, and other public locations.
FIFA had earlier confirmed on April 3 that VTV held the rights in Vietnam, though the broadcaster did not publicly announce the deal until Monday.
Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
The 2026 World Cup is set to kick off on June 11 and run through July 19, featuring a record 48 teams and 104 matches across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, significantly expanding the scale and value of broadcasting rights.
The qualification campaign wrapped up on April 1, with Iraq claiming the final spot in the tournament.
