Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) maker VinFast said it would introduce a seven-seater multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) model for personal use, probably this year.
If so, Vietnamese consumers will have a wider range of seven-seater MPVs that are distinct from commercial taxis.
The new model may be named Limo Lux, developed from Limo Green, a seven-seater model designed for commercial services that VinFast had earlier revealed, according to a source of Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper.
With dimensions of 4,730 x 1,870 x 1,690 mm and a wheelbase of 2,840 mm, Limo Green outsizes Mitsubishi Xpander and is roughly as large as Toyota Innova Cross.
VinFast may launch Limo Lux in the third quarter of this year.

The price of the new model has yet to be disclosed. However, it is forecast to fall somewhere between the prices of VF 6 and VF 7.
VF 6 (without battery) is currently priced at VND640-770 million (US$25,200-30,317) depending on the version, while VF 7 (without battery and panoramic sunroof) costs between VND760 million ($29,874) and VND999 million ($39,319).
