Vingroup’s arm breaks ground on $1.7bn tourism complex in Da Nang

According to the investor, the project spans a total area of 512.2 hectares.

The Lang Van complex is designed as an international-standard 'resort city' with low-density accommodation.

The project features a full range of amenities, including hotels, resorts, villas, apartments, theme parks, culinary and commercial centers, as well as educational and healthcare services.

Once operational, the project is expected to transform the urban landscape of northern Da Nang, stimulate economic growth, and contribute to regional development.

“Lang Van will be meticulously planned with a balanced construction density, prioritizing the preservation of natural landscapes and celebrating the area’s local beauty,” said Nguyen Viet Quang, vice-chairman and CEO of Vingroup, at the groundbreaking ceremony.

Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Le Trung Chinh stated that the Lang Van project will create jobs for residents of Da Nang and neighboring provinces, establish a new tourist destination, and elevate the city’s tourism sector.

He emphasized that the project is a key part of the city’s northwestward urban development strategy.

Chairman Chinh also advised the investor to ensure that the project integrates harmoniously with nature and respects local history.

He stressed the importance of preserving the ecological landscape and ensuring national security and defense, so that Lang Van becomes not only a premier resort destination but also a model of sustainable development.

The first components of the Lang Van tourism and resort complex are planned to be completed and put into operation by 2027.
