Visits to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Hanoi to be suspended until July 31

The suspension is to implement a maintenance plan for the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.

Starting August 2, visits to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum will be resumed.

On April 3, the Presidential Office held a press conference to announce the state president's ordinance on the management and protection of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum relic site.

The ordinance clearly states that the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum relic site includes structures and areas of special national political, historical-cultural, defense, and security significance.

Regarding the preservation and absolute protection of President Ho Chi Minh’s embalmed body, the ordinance specifies medical and technical activities for long-term preservation and absolute safety.

The Minister of National Defense will issue detailed regulations on ensuring the security and safety of the embalmed body of President Ho Chi Minh, according to the ordinance.

Construction work on the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum began on September 2, 1973 and the mausoleum was formally inaugurated on August 29, 1975.
