Employers face fines of up to $1,900 for late wage payments in Vietnam

Companies in Vietnam that pay wages late, fail to pay or underpay contractual wages, or underpay overtime, night-work, or work suspension wages may face fines ranging from VND5 million to VND50 million (US$190-1,900), depending on the number of affected employees, under a new government decree that will take effect on September 10.
