The accident occurred around 10:40 am as a group of three workers were demolishing a wall of a single-story house on Truong Chinh Street in Tan Hung Thuan Ward.
As the workers struck the structure with sledgehammers, the wall suddenly gave way.
While two workers managed to flee, one—identified as N.A.Q., a resident of Hoc Mon District—was trapped beneath the rubble and fatally crushed.
Emergency responders, including local police and the fire and rescue force, rushed to the scene and retrieved the victim’s body from the debris.

Authorities have sealed off the site to investigate the cause of the fatal collapse.
According to initial reports, the homeowner had hired the workers to demolish the house in preparation for rebuilding.
The collapse occurred while they were taking down the front wall.
On Thursday last week, a factory collapse claimed the lives of three workers in Binh Duong Province, a neighbor of Ho Chi Minh City.
The workplace incident occurred around 10:30 am when a metal floor being dismantled collapsed.
Everyone attempted to flee, but three men were unable to escape and were crushed.
Two of the victims died at the scene, and one passed away en route to the hospital.
