WATCH IT LIVE: Grand parade in Ho Chi Minh City celebrates 50 years of Vietnam’s reunification

A grand military parade and march takes place in Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday morning, April 30, to mark the 50th anniversary of Vietnam’s reunification, one of the country’s most significant commemorative events.

According to the official schedule, the ceremony begins at 6:30 am on Wednesday along Le Duan Boulevard in front of the Reunification Palace in District 1.

The national parade in Ho Chi Minh City begins with a 21-gun salute at the Bach Dang Wharf area, followed by an aerial display featuring 10 helicopters carrying the Party and national flags, and 23 fighter jets flying over the city.

Parade units depart from the Le Duan–Nguyen Binh Khiem intersection and pass the main grandstand before dispersing in four directions toward designated assembly areas.

– Route 1: Nam Ky Khoi Nghia – Le Loi – Nguyen Hue – Bach Dang Wharf Park

– Route 2: Nam Ky Khoi Nghia – Le Loi – Le Lai – Cach Mang Thang Tam – Tao Dan Park

– Route 3: Nam Ky Khoi Nghia – Nguyen Dinh Chieu – Dinh Tien Hoang – Hoa Lu Stadium

– Route 4: Nam Ky Khoi Nghia – Dien Bien Phu – Hai Ba Trung – Le Van Tam Park

To accommodate public viewing, 21 LED screens have been installed at key locations, including Nguyen Trai Street and Phu Dong Roundabout, as well as near Tao Dan Park, where parade units regroup after the event.
