Around 40,000 participants take part in the parade and procession, organized into 87 divisions including ceremonial units, civilian groups, military branches, militia and police, and motorized and specialized vehicle contingents.
The Vietnam People's Air Force performs a fly-past featuring 30 aircraft, including Mi-series helicopters, Su-30MK2 fighters, Yak-130 multirole jets, L-39NG trainers, and Casa transport planes.
For the first time, Vietnam also presents a maritime parade involving naval forces, coast guards, border patrol, fisheries enforcement, and naval aviation.
Foreign military units from China, Russia, Laos, and Cambodia participate in the parade, each forming its own contingent.
