On Friday, the Ministry of National Defense, the Hanoi Capital Command, Chemical Company 21 (Z121 Factory) and Sun Group installed fireworks in Hanoi ahead of the show on Saturday evening to mark Hanoi’s Liberation Day.

Specifically, at the fireworks launch sites on Hoan Kiem Lake and West Lake, fireworks were being transported, installed and inspected in preparation for the show for residents and visitors.
The fireworks areas are under tight security, with personnel stationed to ensure safety and coordinate traffic around the installation sites.
At West Lake, the launch site is in the Quang Khanh Street area of Tay Ho Ward. According to the plan, it will feature 1,800 high-altitude fireworks, the largest number among the three launch sites, along with 475 low-altitude fireworks.
The highlight at West Lake will be 200 water fireworks combined with 900 pyrotechnic rigs arranged on the lake. This marks the first time water fireworks have been included in a show at West Lake.

At Hoan Kiem Lake, the launch site in front of the Hanoi Post Office in Hoan Kiem Ward will feature 1,725 high-altitude fireworks, 500 low-altitude fireworks, 50 low-altitude fireworks rigs and 350 pyrotechnic rigs. The pyrotechnic rigs will be arranged on the water.

The remaining launch site at Van Quan Lake will feature nearly 800 fireworks and pyrotechnic units, including high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks and pyrotechnic rigs.
According to the plan, all three sites at Hoan Kiem Lake, West Lake and Van Quan Lake will simultaneously launch fireworks at 9 pm on Saturday. Each show will last 15 minutes, ending at 9:15 pm.

Hanoi marks Liberation Day with a series of events
As Hanoi marks Liberation Day on Saturday, the capital is hosting a range of cultural and entertainment activities.
According to the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, two artistic programs are held at the Ho Guom Opera House on October 9 and 10.
The October 9 program featured Vietnamese and international musical works, connecting contemporary music with Hanoi's distinctive cultural values.
On the evening of October 10, Hanoi Symphony will be held to commemorate the 72nd anniversary of Hanoi's Liberation Day. The program combines classical music and notable Vietnamese compositions with modern stage language, tracing the capital's journey from the autumn of 1954 to its present-day appearance.
Also on October 10, '80 Years - The Epic of Hanoi Lives On' will take place at Ba Kieu Temple Flower Garden to mark the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Hanoi Armed Forces, which falls on October 19.
The city's theaters and arts organizations also stage performances for the public at 8 pm every Friday and Saturday from October 2 to 31.
The programs include 'Huyen Tich Ho Guom' (The Legend of Hoan Kiem Lake), 'Net Duyen Cheo Ha Thanh' (The Charm of Hanoi Cheo), the cheo play 'Quan Am Thi Kinh' and the cai luong play 'Nguoi Con Gai Ha Thanh' (The Hanoi Young Woman).
On October 9 and 10, arts organizations under the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism perform at Ba Kieu Temple Flower Garden, Tay Tuu Ward, and the Trung Gia, Hoai Duc, Yen Lang, Quang Oai, Xuan Mai and Huong Son communes. The city also organizes 40 mobile film screenings and 15 screenings at cinemas.
From October 9 to 11, the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism hold an event themed Cultural Roots of Heritage in the Heart of the Capital, featuring activities at the ancestral worship ceremony area, as well as cultural and artistic programs and heritage experiences.
City-level heritage sites will remain open to visitors and host activities focused on learning about history and traditional values.
