During the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day break from April 25 to 27, northern provinces will be mostly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms.
The central Vietnamese provinces and cities from Thanh Hoa to Hue will see similar conditions, with more widespread rain likely on April 25.
At the Hung Kings Temple in the northern midland province of Phu Tho, a focal point for the holiday, skies are expected to remain overcast throughout the three-day period, with a 60-percent chance of rain. Temperatures will range from 23 to 30 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the south-central coast, Central Highlands, and southern Vietnam will generally have sunny days.
Some southern areas may experience heat, followed by scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon or evening.
The Central Highlands could see more widespread rain late on April 25.
For the Reunification Day and International Workers' Day holiday from April 30 to May 3, northern Vietnam will continue to see intermittent showers, especially in mountainous areas.
Central regions will have sunny days with localized heat, while rain and thunderstorms are expected in the evenings.
Southern Vietnam will remain hot during the day, with scattered storms later.
The national weather agency warned that thunderstorms may bring hazards such as whirlwinds, lightning, hail, and strong gusts.
