Woman bites penis over $4,800 challenge at party

Police in the southern Tien Giang Province are handling a curious case in which a 38-year-old woman bit the penis of an old man and then demanded the man pay her US$4,800 for the biting. She said the man - her former lover - had promised to pay her when he challenged her to do so.

The strange incident happened at a drinking party between the woman, N.T.L, and the old man, T.T.H, 64 years old, and seven others including another woman in My Thanh Bac Commune, Cai Lay District on March 12.

During the party, N.T.L and T.T.H told the others about their past love affairs and the woman revealed that the man has a scar on his penis, according to a police report.

Instead of being embarrassed, the 64-year-old man took off his trousers for everybody at the table to see his private part, despite being dissuaded by others.

Due to some arguments with N.T.L before the party, T.T.H then lay on the floor and challenged N.T.L to bite his penis.

N.T.L accepted the challenge and bit T.T.H’s penis, causing bleeding. T.T.H then attempted to beat the woman, but he was prevented by others.

The woman later reported the case to commune police, accusing the man of insulting her and demanded that he pay her VND100 million ($4,800) that she said he had promised her if she dared bite his penis.

N.T.L told police she bit his penis as he challenged her to do so with a view to insulting her.

The woman also alleged that T.T.H threatened her that he would hire an underworld gang to assault her and demolish her house.

The other woman at the party told police that the man had promised to pay N.T.L that said amount for biting his penis.

Meanwhile, the old man accused the woman of violating his body¸ extorting him, and causing him to lose reputation.

After failing to reconcile the two sides, the commune police referred the case to the Cai Lay district police.

Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Tao, head of the district police, said the man’s injury is not serious enough to warrant a criminal treatment.

Since the two sides insisted on pursuing their claims, police have referred the case to the Cai Lay District People’s Court for settlement.

Talking with Tuoi Tre on Tuesday, Phan Van Tien, secretary of the commune Party Committee, said the bitten man has been removed from his post as head of the Veteran Association of a hamlet due to the scandal.
