Police in Tuyen Quang Province, northern Vietnam have initiated criminal proceedings against a 30-year-old woman who was accused of helping her lover rape her underage daughter.
N.T.S., 30, residing in Yen Son District, Tuyen Quang Province, was charged for helping her lover N.M.C., a 51-year-old resident in Tuyen Quang City of the namesake province, rape her daughter—H.K.L., born in 2013.
The provincial People’s Procuracy also approved a decision to prosecute and detain C. for allegedly raping an under-16-year-old person.

According to preliminary investigation results, in 2019, C. and S. had a romantic relationship and they have a two-year-old baby.
In mid-2022, C. wanted to have sex with L., so he told S. to help him and got S’s agreement.
At noon last Friday, S. took her daughter to a local hostel and called C. to come to the hostel. S. also let her daughter take sleeping pills.
At 12:40 pm on the same day, C. came to the hostel and raped L. with the support of S.
The case is under further investigation.
