Woman’s decomposing body found in northern Vietnam

Police in Vinh Phuc Province, northern Vietnam are investigating the death of a 35-year-old woman whose decomposing body was found wrapped in a sack at her house in the province’s Phuc Yen City on Friday.

Local residents in the city’s Tien Chau Ward detected a foul smell from the house of the victim at noon on Friday, a local official told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper on the same day.

After entering the house, they discovered that the decomposing body of the victim was wrapped in a plastic bag and a sack. They immediately reported the death to local authorities.

Local police then cordoned off the house and launched an investigation to determine the cause of her death.

The victim was living with her husband and her children prior to the incident, the local official said.
