Phuong Giang won the second gold medal in a Wushu event for Vietnam on Sunday at the on-going 27th SEA Games held in Myanmar one day after Duong Thuy Vi won the first gold medal.
Giang won gold at Wanna Theikdi stadium in Nay Pyi Taw in the women’s long fist category. She finished first with 9.68 points while Singapore’s Yan Ni Tan was placed second with 9.60 points.
Previously, on December 7, Wushu athlete Duong Thuy Vi won Vietnam’s first gold medal in the women’s Jianshu. Vi finished first with 9.70 points, closely followed by Myanmar’s Sandy Oo with 9.69 points and Malaysia’s Eyin Phoon with 9.64 points.
