The move will mark the next step in Chinese automaker Zeekr’s strategy to expand its footprint across Southeast Asia.
Featuring a four-seater layout that prioritizes comfort and technology for rear passengers, the Zeekr 009 Grand represents a distinctive approach by a Chinese electric vehicle brand in the premium MPV segment.

Positioned as the most luxurious four-seater variant of the 009 lineup, the Grand version is developed with a clear focus on chauffeured use rather than versatility. As a result, it is often compared with limousine editions or business-class cabins of traditional luxury vehicles. Photo: Linh Dan / Tuoi Tre

In terms of design, the Zeekr 009 Grand retains the overall styling of the standard 009, highlighted by a boxy front end, a signature closed grille, and vertically oriented LED daytime running lights. Its large dimensions give the vehicle a commanding presence on urban roads while also maximizing interior space. Photo: Linh Dan / Tuoi Tre

The most notable distinction lies inside the cabin. The Zeekr 009 Grand offers only four seats, with the rear passenger area completely separated from the driver’s compartment by a partition that integrates a large display screen. This layout underlines the vehicle’s clear positioning for owners who employ private chauffeurs. Photo: Linh Dan / Tuoi Tre

The rear cabin is equipped with two independent seats featuring multi-directional electric adjustment, along with heating, ventilation, and massage functions. The space between the seats is designed as a central console incorporating a work table, storage compartments, and dedicated control panels. Photo: Linh Dan / Tuoi Tre

A large entertainment screen allows rear passengers to enjoy multimedia content or adjust cabin functions. Additional features include electrochromic glass, an advanced air filtration system, and various solutions aimed at enhancing privacy. Photo: Linh Dan / Tuoi Tre

On the performance front, the Zeekr 009 Grand is built on an 800V electrical architecture and powered by dual electric motors driving all four wheels, delivering a maximum output of 777 horsepower. This configuration enables the large MPV to accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in under four seconds. A high-capacity battery provides a claimed driving range of up to 702 kilometers per charge under China’s testing standards, along with support for high-power fast charging.

Beyond performance, the Zeekr 009 Grand is equipped with a comprehensive suite of driver assistance and safety technologies. The ADAS system, supported by sensors, radar, and cameras, offers features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, and automatic emergency braking. The vehicle’s structure has also been optimized to enhance protection for rear passengers in the four-seater configuration.

In China, the Zeekr 009 Grand sits among the most expensive electric MPVs in its segment. According to a representative from Tasco Auto, the company is currently evaluating suitable configurations ahead of its planned Vietnam introduction toward the end of the year. Prior to that, the Zeekr brand is expected to officially debut in Vietnam in May 2026, with the Zeekr 7X slated as the first model for local consumers.
