The ministry’s Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Department released its training report on Thursday, outlining the preparations made by the national team ahead of the Games, which will take place from June 27 to July 6.
This year’s edition of the event is expected to draw more than 8,500 participants from over 70 countries, competing in more than 60 disciplines.
Vietnam’s team consists of 19 officers trained to compete in four categories: firefighter challenges, ultimate firefighters, fire-fighting drills, and a stair race which involves climbing a 40-story building in full protective gear.

Team of the members were selected from the department, the University of Fire Prevention and Fighting, and police units nationwide.
They have undergone 32 consecutive days of intensive training, with a strong focus on physical fitness and performance in both firefighting and rescue techniques.
Beyond medals or rankings, the team emphasizes the importance of sportsmanship, professionalism, and the image of Vietnam’s police force on the international stage.
The Games, held every two years, are one of the world’s largest sporting events for law enforcement and firefighting professionals.
