Fortune released its ranking on October 6, recognizing 100 female business leaders from 14 Asia-Pacific markets for their business achievements and influence in the region.

Pham Thu Huong ranked 37th, the highest among the five Vietnamese women.

She was among the people who helped build Vingroup with her husband, billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong, as the conglomerate grew into Vietnam's largest listed company.

After studying international law in Kyiv, Ukraine, Huong joined Vuong in his instant-noodle business there before returning to Vietnam to develop Vingroup.

She also served as chairwoman of GSM, the operator of electric ride-hailing service Xanh SM, before leaving the position in September.

Mai Kieu Lien, CEO of Vietnam Dairy Products, or Vinamilk, ranked 71st.

According to Fortune, Lien was born in France, educated in the former Soviet Union and began working in Vietnam's dairy industry as an engineer in 1976.

She has served as Vinamilk's CEO since 1992, making her one of Vietnam's longest-serving corporate leaders.

Under her leadership, Vinamilk was transformed from a state-owned enterprise into a joint-stock company in 2003 and listed on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange in 2006.

Fortune valued Vinamilk, Vietnam's largest listed food and beverage company, at about $4.9 billion. The company's exports increased 25 percent in 2025, with its products available in 65 markets.

She has held the position since February 2025, becoming the first woman to lead the Viettel unit responsible for the group's international investment operations.

Viettel Global posted record revenue of $1.7 billion in 2025, up 25 percent from the previous year, while its after-tax profit reached about $440 million, an increase of 57 percent.

Nguyen Bach Diep, chairwoman of FPT Retail, a retailing business arm of Vietnamese tech giant FPT, ranked 90th.

Diep joined FPT in 1994 as an unpaid intern and later helped establish FPT Retail in 2012.

One of her most notable achievements has been the development of Long Chau, a pharmacy and vaccination chain that has become the company's main growth driver.

Long Chau accounted for nearly 70 percent of FPT Retail's total revenue in 2025.

Dang Huynh Uc My, chairwoman of Thanh Thanh Cong Agricultural Development JSC (TTC AgriS), ranked 95th, marking her second consecutive appearance on Fortune's list.

She has led TTC AgriS, Vietnam's largest sugar producer, since July 2024, succeeding her mother, Huynh Bich Ngoc.

Under her leadership, TTC AgriS has been shifting toward a circular agriculture model, applying technology to production and expanding internationally.

Fortune said the company recorded revenue of about VND26.9 trillion (US$1.03 billion) in fiscal 2026, exceeding its target.

In September, TTC AgriS opened its Global Innovation Center in Singapore as it seeks to reach VND60 trillion ($2.31 billion) in revenue by 2030.

The 2026 ranking features 100 female business leaders from 14 Asia-Pacific markets, with 24 of them appearing on the list for the first time.

Mainland China, Hong Kong and Singapore have the largest numbers of representatives, while Vietnam and Malaysia each have five.

Singapore-based DBS Group CEO Tan Su Shan topped the ranking, followed by Grace Wang, chairwoman and CEO of Luxshare Precision Industry, and Lens Technology founder Zhou Qunfei.

Technology was the most represented sector, with 16 women on the list, followed by banking with 14.

Fortune said the ranking considered factors including companies’ size and business performance, professional achievements, innovation, influence and contributions to society.

The magazine is scheduled to hold an awards ceremony for the 2026 honorees in Ho Chi Minh City on November 3 as part of the Fortune Southeast Asia 500 conference.
