Hoi An Memories Land is a tourism, art, entertainment, resort, and spa complex in central Vietnam.

Staged between April 23 and May 4, the performance incorporates the enormous flag measuring 22 meters wide and 32 meters long into an elaborate outdoor show, blending traditional and contemporary art forms.

The scene was designed to honor the 50th anniversary of Vietnam’s reunification, marking a pivotal chapter in the nation's history.

"This is not just an artistic highlight, but also a heartfelt tribute to the nation, a celebration of our national history, and a message of gratitude,” said a representative from Hoi An Memories Land.

“The flag, combined with sound and light from the open-air show, creates a sacred and emotional atmosphere on stage."

Nguyen Thanh Hong, director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Quang Nam Province, told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper on Friday that the province had been seeing a significant increase in tourist arrivals during the ongoing holiday, which began on Wednesday and wraps up on Sunday.

Notably, Hoi An Ancient Town was packed with residents and travelers on Wednesday and Thursday.

In just the first two days of the Reunification Day holiday, the province welcomed an estimated 131,000 visitors, a year-on-year increase of 41-percent.

International tourists accounted for 58,000 visits, while domestic travelers reached 73,000, reflecting a 93-percent year-over-year surge.

Hotel occupancy has averaged over 90 percent, while high-end resorts have reported even higher rates, with Hoiana reaching over 95 percent, Hoian Beach at 96 percent, and Emerald at 98 percent.

These figures signaled a robust recovery for Quang Nam’s tourism sector thanks to targeted promotional efforts, service upgrades, and special holiday offerings.
