According to initial reports, prolonged downpours around 6:30 pm caused a mass of soil and rocks to collapse from the hillside behind the home in Tay Ho 2 Alley on Hung Vuong Street.
Several family members escaped in time, but the girl was trapped inside the bathroom as the exit was sealed by debris.
Firefighters and rescue forces from the provincial police department quickly reached the site, digging through layers of soil and breaking sections of the house’s wall to create safe access to the child.
At 7:10 pm, the team successfully pulled her out and rushed her to Lam Dong General Hospital.

The girl, identified as N.T.D., a student at Nam Ho Elementary School, was admitted with multiple injuries, including an open femur fracture.
Doctors performed emergency surgery and said she did not suffer life-threatening internal damage and is expected to recover well.
Da Lat, a popular tourist destination in the Central Highlands region, and several parts of Lam Dong have experienced continuous heavy rainfall in recent days, sharply increasing the risk of landslides along steep alleys and hillside neighborhoods.
