Aeon opens 10th shopping mall in Vietnam's Hai Phong

Located in Thach Khoi Ward, the mall has a total floor area of around 38,100 square meters across three above-ground floors, housing Aeon's retail operations and 37 specialty stores.

According to Aeon Vietnam Co., Ltd., the mall is situated along a transport link between Hanoi and central Hai Phong City in the northern region, serving more than 330,000 residents within an approximately 15-minute travel radius.

Aeon Hai Duong, inaugurated on October 3, organizes its offerings into five categories: food and beverages, children and entertainment, fashion, health and beauty, and home living.

Its food section includes a supermarket selling products meeting VietGAP and GLOBALG.A.P. standards, as well as a Delica & Bakery area with 270 seats.

Food and beverage brands at the mall include Texas Chicken, Gong Cha, Long Wang, Thai Express, GoGi House, and Highlands Coffee.

Entertainment facilities include the 1,000-square-meter KID'S BOX JUMBO play area, GiGO entertainment center, and Aeon Beta Cinema.

The mall also houses fashion and beauty brands such as Adidas, Skechers, Levi's, Crocs, and Glam Beautique, along with home goods retailers Hóme Cóordy, Kohnan, and Mr. DIY.

From October 1 to 11, the mall is offering opening promotions for members, including WAON loyalty points, Eco gifts, and lucky draws.

Technology, green initiatives

The mall features AI-powered scales that recognize food products, ordering kiosks, semi-automated checkout counters, and electronic shelf labels.

Other amenities include free parking, facial recognition-enabled lockers, a baby care room, and electric vehicle charging stations.

Aeon Hai Duong is expected to create around 900 direct jobs for local workers and help regional agricultural products gain access to Aeon's retail network.

The mall also applies green building standards as it seeks to obtain EDGE Advanced and LOTUS certifications.
