Upon completion, this will be the company's largest retail project in central Vietnam.
Speaking at a meeting with the Da Nang administration on Wednesday, AEON representatives confirmed that preparations are nearly complete after extensive site clearance.
Surrounding roads have been paved, lighting and landscaping installed, and water and power connections are scheduled for completion by November.
The project covers more than 10 hectares in Hoa Xuan Ward, with investment worth several trillion dong. [VND1 trillion = US$38.5 million]
It will be AEON’s second mall in Da Nang, following AEON Mall Thanh Khe, which opened in July this year.

Tezuka Daisuke, general director of AEON Vietnam, said Da Nang is a priority market owing to its expanded population of about three million following the merger with Quang Nam Province in July 2025.
The coastal city is seen as the economic hub of central Vietnam, with strong growth potential.
The AEON Vietnam executive added that the Hoa Xuan mall will be roughly three times larger than the Thanh Khe facility.
He asserted that the new center will serve as AEON’s flagship in the region, positioned at the southern gateway of Da Nang, an area earmarked for urban expansion.
