According to several carriers, poor weather disrupted numerous incoming flights to the southern metropolis, requiring sudden changes in landing approaches.
Affected flights included VN1828 from Phu Quoc, VN1248 from Pleiku, VN6441 from Hai Phong, VN7145 from Da Nang, VN525 from Shanghai, and VN273 from Hanoi, all which circled for quite some time before receiving clearance to land safely.
The delays created a ripple effect across the domestic flight schedule.
