The management board of the Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area said on Saturday that it was coordinating with relevant agencies to arrange a meeting to express its gratitude to the American tourist for his courageous rescue.
The incident occurred at around 3:45 pm on Friday near the main dam of the famed lake, where a woman accidentally fell into the water.
Laszlo, an American tourist whose age has not been disclosed, was near the dam when he noticed what had happened.
Without hesitation, he swam out into the lake to save the woman.
At the same time, staff from the board and local residents rushed to assist.
They brought the woman safely back to shore.

Authorities said the water at the spot where the woman fell was between three and four meters deep, making the situation particularly dangerous.
Once ashore, the woman received initial care.
The board contacted her relatives to take charge of her, and her health has since stabilized.
Laszlo was staying at a hotel in Da Lat, said Nguyen Mau Ha, deputy director of the board.
The board is working with relevant agencies and organizations to meet and thank him for his timely intervention.
Laszlo’s quick response, combined with the assistance of local authorities and residents, helped save the woman from a potentially fatal drowning incident.
