While swimming, two tourists, identified as Nicholas T., a German, and another tourist surnamed V., a Danish national, were caught in strong waves and swept offshore.
After being notified of the case, police officers in the commune promptly rushed to the scene.
They coordinated with rescuers, security forces, and border guards to carry out rescue operations.
The two victims were brought ashore and transported to a nearby medical center for treatment.
