The June 27 show, themed ‘Vision,’ drew thousands of spectators, with tickets selling out well before showtime.
To meet surging demand, organizers of the 2026 DIFF opened grandstand A4 with more than 2,000 seats earlier than planned, allowing more residents and tourists to enjoy the event.
Opening the fifth competition night, Skylighter Fireworks from Australia presented a youthful and energetic display.

Their show combined fireworks with iconic songs from Coldplay, Bon Jovi, and Avicii, delivering a message of ambition and breaking limits.
Effects included sharp white stars, soft golden-green brushes, rainbow arcs, and comet chases exploding into layered bursts.
The Australian team emphasized emotional storytelling through music synchronization rather than complex technical tricks, building from gentle inspiration to a powerful finale.

Macedos Pirotecnia of Portugal, winner of the ‘Most Creative Team’ award at the 2025 DIFF, showcased artistry and precision.
With nearly 90 years of experience, they transformed the Han River sky into a multi-layered stage.
Their show featured high-altitude shells, comets, Roman candles, and waterfall effects, arranged across multiple firing points.
Each sequence was meticulously designed, leading to a climactic finale of brilliant titanium bursts covering the sky.

Saturday evening also featured live performances by Vietnamese and international artists, adding to the festival atmosphere.
With the qualifying round complete, the 2026 DIFF will conclude with its grand final on July 11, featuring the competition's two highest-scoring teams.
Held from May 30 to July 11 along the Han River, the 2026 DIFF carries the theme ‘Da Nang - United Horizons.’
The festival includes five qualifying nights and one final, with themes Nature, Heritage, Culture, Creative, Vision, and the finale, United Horizons.
This year's festival features 10 teams representing Vietnam, China, Italy, Germany, Portugal, France, Japan, Macau, and Australia.
Aside from the fireworks competition, the 2026 DIFF comprises 26 cultural and tourism events, including a showcase of UNESCO-recognized intangible cultural heritage at My Son Sanctuary and the Sun Fest Ba Na Hills festival.
