-- Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade confirmed that the United States has reduced its retaliatory tariff on Vietnamese goods from 46 percent to 20 percent, following an executive order signed by President Donald Trump.

-- Vietnam and Singapore have jointly launched a bilateral B2B e-commerce platform, Vietnamsgp.arobid.com, aiming to create a comprehensive digital ecosystem that promotes global trade between businesses in both countries.

-- Much of Vietnam is experiencing dry and hot weather on Saturday, with intense heat expected to persist in many regions. Thunderstorms are likely in the late afternoon, according to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.

-- At least nine people were confirmed dead and one remains missing following days of torrential rain and landslides in Dien Bien Province, northern Vietnam, with extensive damage to homes, infrastructure, and roads, authorities confirmed on Friday evening.

-- A 16-year-old boy drowned while swimming with friends in the Huong River in Hue City on Friday afternoon, despite efforts by rescue teams to save him.
