-- Hot weather is forecast across the northern and central regions on Saturday, while southern Vietnam might remain sunny during the day, with showers and heavy rain likely later in the afternoon and evening, according to the national weather center.
-- The government has issued Decree 204, which will take effect on August 1, imposing fines of up to VND2 million (US$76) on individuals who fail to muzzle a dog, or keep it on a leash when taking it to public places.

-- The third Dong Thap Lotus Festival will take place from June 18 to 21 at Van Mieu Square in Cao Lanh Ward, southern Dong Thap Province, featuring an ‘ao dai’ parade and a showcase of 34 hot-air balloons.
-- Da Nang City and Vietnam Television (VTV) are planning to screen live 2026 FIFA World Cup matches at selected public venues across the city, giving residents and visitors the opportunity to enjoy the excitement and atmosphere of the tournament.
