-- Following a successful official visit to Finland, Party General Secretary To Lam, his spouse Ngo Phuong Ly, and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation arrived in Sofia on Wednesday night, commencing a three-day official visit to Bulgaria.

-- Party chief Lam met with First Deputy Speaker of the Finnish Parliament Paula Risikko on Wednesday (local time), as part of his official visit to Finland.

-- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will lead a high-ranking delegation of Vietnam to attend the 47th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit and related summits in Kuala Lumpur from October 25 to 28 at the invitation of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, chair of ASEAN 2025, according the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

-- As Fengshen, the 12th storm to hit the East Vietnam Sea this year, entered the waters from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai Provinces on Wednesday night, it weakened into a tropical depression, according to the national weather center.

-- Tidal levels in Can Tho City, southern Vietnam exceeded 2.27 meters late on Wednesday afternoon, surpassing the historical peak recorded on October 12, 2022, according to the municipal hydro-meteorological center.

-- Three young Vietnamese doctors were named among the top 40 young talents at the Pasteur Network Annual Meeting 2025 on Wednesday for their outstanding contributions to research, epidemiological surveillance, and public health protection.

-- Over 100 of Vietnam’s climate innovators, government leaders, and impact investors gathered at Sheraton Can Tho Hotel in Can Tho City on Wednesday for an event hosted by the Australian government on climate adaptation and innovation, in a bid to contribute to building a more climate-resilient Mekong Delta, according to the Australian Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City.

-- Photographer Nguyen Truong Sinh on Wednesday opened a photo exhibition on Ho Chi Minh City Book Street in downtown Ho Chi Minh City, showcasing 56 images of red-crowned cranes, selected from over 100,000 photos he has captured over the past 10 years in Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, India, and Australia.
