-- Deputy chief of Vietnam's Party Central Committee office Vo Thanh Hung received archival documents on President Ho Chi Minh handed over by the French National Overseas Archives under the auspices of the French Ministry of Culture, in coordination with the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs on September 10.

-- Chairman of the Mongolian Parliament Sandag Byambatsogt presented Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man with a horse, a cultural symbol and the soul of the Mongolian steppes, on Friday morning, before the Vietnamese legislature chairman and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation departed Ulaanbaatar that afternoon, concluding their official visit to Mongolia.

-- Hue Central Hospital’s second facility in Hue City, central Vietnam, received 47 people showing suspected symptoms of food poisoning at Scavi Hue Textile and Garment Company in Phong Dien Industrial Park, a hospital leader said on Friday.

-- The Ho Chi Minh City Friendship Dialogue 2026 opened on Friday with the participation of 35 delegations of Vietnamese localities and international partners from nearly 20 countries.

-- The Department of Construction in Da Nang City, central Vietnam, has proposed building another bridge over the Han River, with construction set to begin before 2030.

Economy

-- As part of Vietnamese Party General Secretary and State President To Lam’s official visit to France, U.S.-French aircraft-engine maker CFM International and Vietnam’s budget carrier Vietjet signed a letter of intent to develop capabilities for maintaining, repairing and overhauling CFM LEAP engines in Vietnam.

-- Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports reached US$6.02 billion in January-August 2026, putting the sector on track to approach the $10 billion mark for the full year if quality and traceability are maintained, according to the Vietnam News Agency.

Travel

-- Ho Chi Minh City needs 23,000-28,000 new accommodation-sector workers each year, while training institutions train only 5,000-6,000 hospitality students annually, a local official said at a conference on developing the city’s hotel workforce held on Friday.
