-- Authorities on Sunday found 11 more sets of martyrs' remains at a second burial trench in Area A of Le Thi Rieng Park in Ho Chi Minh City, bringing the total number found at the site to 627.

-- Heavy rain coinciding with high tides on Sunday afternoon caused localized flooding on several low-lying streets in Ho Chi Minh City, with water rising nearly halfway up vehicle wheels on Tran Xuan Soan Street in Tan Thuan Ward and making travel difficult.

-- Hundreds of police officers and railway workers on Sunday afternoon were mobilized in an attempt to clear the area around the My Chanh railway bridge in Nam Hai Lang Commune, Quang Tri Province, after three sand-dredging barges were swept into the area by floodwaters around noon and became stuck beneath the bridge.

-- Around a quarter of stalls at Ba Chieu Market in Ho Chi Minh City have stopped operating amid sluggish business, with 54 applications to terminate businesses and 24 others to transfer stalls recorded since the beginning of this year.
