Chinese, Lao, Cambodian troops join state-level rehearsal for Reunification Day parade in Ho Chi Minh City

The guest military units will officially take part in Vietnam’s grand military parade scheduled for April 30 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of southern Vietnam and national reunification.

While Lao and Cambodian troops joined earlier rehearsals on Tuesday, the Chinese People's Liberation Army contingent, comprising 118 officers and soldiers, arrived in Vietnam at noon on Friday aboard a Y-20 transport aircraft.

Addressing a regular press briefing in Hanoi on Thursday, Pham Thu Hang, spokesperson for the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, confirmed the participation of military forces from Laos, Cambodia, and China.

"We welcome the participation of military delegations from Laos, Cambodia, and China in the parade, which reflects the increasingly strong bonds of friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and these countries," the spokesperson affirmed.
