The event was held in preparation for the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
The parade rehearsal was led by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, deputy chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army and head of the parade organizing committee.
The rehearsed parade featured both marching and static formations, with notable female military units representing various branches, including a military band, military medical officers, Vietnam peacekeeping forces, special forces, signal troops, ethnic militia forces, and the southern guerrilla unit.
In addition, two female police units – the Traffic Police and Special Police – also joined the formation.
Closing the rehearsal, Senior Lieutenant General Nghia praised the discipline and commitment of the participants, noting that despite scorching heat and challenging conditions, the formations and military vehicles operated with precision and pride.
Leading the display of weapons and military vehicles were the iconic T54/T55 tanks, which contributed to key victories, including Vietnam's historic General Offensive and Uprising in 1975.
