Truong Thanh Dung, chairman of the Hoa Cuong Ward People’s Committee, told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper that the crackdown focuses on violations such as occupying sidewalks and streets for running businesses, parking illegally, posting advertisements and setting up stalls, tables, umbrellas, and grills without permission.
Other targets include peddling, aggressive solicitation, begging, and improper construction or renovation that encroaches on public spaces.
Officials are inspecting the ward’s entire road network, markets, and public areas, with key sites including 2/9, Nui Thanh, Xo Viet Nghe Tinh, 30/4, Phan Dang Luu, Nguyen Huu Tho, and Le Thanh Nghi Streets, as well as Hoa Cuong wholesale market and Hoa Thuan market.
Inspection units are working the morning, afternoon, and evening shifts daily, with two inter-agency patrol teams assigned to key hotspots.
Dung said the campaign will run continuously, including weekends and public holidays, and will be maintained regularly after the peak phase to ensure lasting results.
