The forested Son Tra Peninsula is attracting increasing numbers of locals and tourists seeking respite from the summer heat amid its cool air and lush natural scenery.
The Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center under the municipal Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism said on Wednesday that the event will run alongside some ongoing activities of the Food Tour Da Nang 2026 program.
The International Culinary Festival is part of the city’s broader 2026 summer tourism promotion campaign.
The city expects large-scale cultural and culinary events to help attract more domestic and international visitors during the peak travel season.
During the six-day fest, locals and visitors will be treated to live cooking demonstrations, themed gala dinners and meetings with chefs.
Culinary activities will be combined with beachfront art performances and entertainment programs.
Among the featured guests is French chef Christian Le Squer, who heads Le Cinq Restaurant at the Four Seasons Hotel George V Paris.
The restaurant currently holds three Michelin stars and is regarded as one of France’s leading fine dining establishments.
Another notable participant is Japanese chef Junichi Yoshida, known for his experience at Michelin-starred restaurants in Tokyo and Hong Kong and for blending Japanese culinary techniques with Asian local ingredients.
The festival will also welcome chefs from Vietnam, Hong Kong, and Thailand, with menus focusing on seafood, fine dining, and the traditional cuisine of Vietnam’s central region.

Organizers said the fest aims to promote Vietnamese cuisine within a coastal resort setting while creating additional tourism products for the peak summer travel season in Da Nang.
Aside from culinary showcases, nightly beachfront performances featuring both international and Vietnamese artists will take place throughout the festival.
The venue is designed as an open space, allowing visitors to watch food preparation up close and participate in interactive experiences.
Series of summer events planned in Da Nang
According to the municipal department, Da Nang will host a wide range of festivals and entertainment activities this summer.
Alongside the ongoing Food Tour Da Nang 2026, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2026 is scheduled to open on the evening of May 30.
The Enjoy Da Nang Festival, set for late July, will feature beachside experiences and culinary activities highlighting the city’s coastal culture.
Additional international cultural exchange programs and festivals will also be organized.
Running concurrently with the International Culinary Festival will be the An Hai Sea Festival 2026, which will take place from June 6 to 15 at East Sea Park, Vo Nguyen Giap Street, and My Khe Beach.
The sea festival will include art performances, music shows, culinary events, and marine sports activities to satisfy both residents and tourists.
