The municipal People’s Committee announced on Monday that it had approved a cooperation promotion plan with Japanese partners for the 2026-30 period.

Da Nang City will call for the development of high-quality agricultural production zones in specialized farming areas in line with Japanese standards.

Accordingly, a system to connect farm produce consumption markets and ensure stable distribution channels will be built.

The city will prioritize attracting Japanese investment in advanced agricultural projects that integrate cutting-edge technologies and environmentally sustainable practices.

Local authorities aim to support businesses in applying artificial intelligence and automation throughout the production chain, from cultivation and livestock farming to processing.

The city also plans to encourage smart farming models with controlled environments, alongside the use of blockchain technology for supply chain management and traceability.

Biotechnology applications will be promoted to enhance productivity while ensuring food safety and consumer health.

Da Nang also intends to expand exports of agricultural, forestry, and processed food products to Japan, contributing to a more stable and sustainable agricultural sector while supporting local economic growth.
