The park will be built on 2.45 hectares of land formerly allocated to the Hon Ngoc A Chau (Asian Pearl) tourism project in Ngu Hanh Son Ward.

The site will include walking paths, parking areas, event spaces, a beach square, restrooms, changing rooms, and facilities for outdoor activities.

Construction is scheduled to take place from 2025 to 2027 using funds from the municipal budget.

The Hon Ngoc A Chau project was approved more than 15 years ago with an estimated investment of VND4.8 trillion ($183 million).

It spans 12 hectares along Da Nang’s coastline but has remained largely undeveloped.

City officials said they reached an agreement with the investor to reclaim the southern portion of the site for public use.
