The event has been among the largest destination-promotion programs in recent years to leverage the international network of content creators, according to the department.
Through first-hand experiences and their distinctive storytelling styles, the participating key opinion leaders (KOLs) showcased Da Nang to travelers across multiple digital platforms.
During the five-day program, international creators specializing in travel, lifestyle, entertainment, and food explored Da Nang’s diverse tourism ecosystem and destinations in neighboring areas.
The itinerary included such attractions as the ancient town of Hoi An, the My Son Sanctuary, Bay Mau Coconut Forest, the scenic Ngu Hanh Son Mountains, also known as Marble Mountains, Linh Ung Pagoda, and Sun World Ba Na Hills.
The creators also experienced accommodation products at Vinpearl Nam Hoi An, Novotel Danang Premier Han River, and Mercure Danang French Village Ba Na Hills.
The program was prepared over a period of more than eight months.
The welcome ceremony was held at Da Nang International Airport, where traditional musical performances, conical hats, and a warm reception offered the international guests their first impression of the destination.
The opening night of Kreatorverse 2026 on August 21 also provided an opportunity for international KOLs to connect with one another and begin their journey of discovering Da Nang.
In a highlight of the event, lanterns carrying a message of cultural connection were presented to the content creators.
Organizers said the light from the lanterns evoked Hoi An, an ancient international trading port where communities from around the world once gathered to trade, connect, and create distinctive cultural imprints.
The lanterns were passed from artisans dedicated to preserving local heritage to content creators who will continue telling Da Nang’s stories to audiences around the world.

Kreatorverse 2026 was part of Da Nang’s plan to attract KOLs and key opinion consumers (KOCs), linked to the ‘Danang Storytellers’ platform and its message ‘Your Danang - Your Stories.’
As of August, Danang Storytellers, which connects KOLs, KOCs, and content creators to help promote the city's tourism image across digital platforms, had received some 219 applications from Vietnam and international markets including the United States, Spain, France, Japan and Russia, up nearly 70 percent compared with July.
About 23 percent of the applicants have a presence on at least three platforms, highlighting the potential to spread stories about Da Nang across diverse user communities.
Through its network of domestic and international content creators, Da Nang hopes to bring stories about local culture, cuisine, beaches, leisure, sports, and everyday life to a wider global audience while strengthening the city’s profile in international tourism markets.
