In addition, three diesel-powered pumps, each with a capacity of 600 cubic meters per hour, were deployed to drain several flooded pomelo orchards in Tan Vinh Loc.
The enterprise said it will continue operating the pumping stations based on tide levels and rainfall conditions to protect farmland and residential areas.
Several pomelo orchards in Tan Vinh Loc have been inundated following a series of heavy downpours.

Ha Thi Le, a local farmer in Tan Vinh Loc, said her family manages 1,300 pomelo trees, including 800 bearing fruit and expected to be harvested around the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday.
Heavy rain last Tuesday evening left the orchard inundated and toppled some pomelo trees.
The following day, local authorities and the irrigation enterprise mobilized pumps to drain the water.

The orchard was subsequently hit by two more heavy downpours, and pumping operations have continued.
“Thanks to the support from local authorities and irrigation teams, water is being pumped out of my orchard. I just hope there won’t be more heavy rain so the water can fully recede,” Le said.
