The municipal People's Committee recently approved the 2025 road infrastructure maintenance plan, allocating over VND1.621 trillion ($62 million) for immediate deployment this year.
The plan, coordinated by the city's Road Infrastructure Management Center, gives priority to completing ongoing repair projects, especially those posing urgent safety risks.
Key ongoing projects include renovations of the Tran Quang Dieu Bridge in District 3, the Phu Dinh Bridge in District 6, and several roads such as Lac Long Quan, Ta Uyen, and Hung Vuong in District 5 and District 11, as well as Nguyen Du and Nam Ky Khoi Nghia in Diítrict 1 and District 3.
Among the new upgrades, the city plans to revamp Vo Tran Chi Street in Binh Tan District, Tay Thanh Street in Tan Phu District, and National Highway 22 and Provincial Road 15 in Cu Chi District.

Urgent repairs are also scheduled for Ba Bo Bridge in Binh Tan District, Pham Van Chi Bridge in District 6, adjustments to the clearance height beneath Khanh Hoi Bridge in District 4, and improvements to streets such as Phu Huu and Go Cong in District 5, along with a segment of National Highway 1 in District 12.
In addition to roadwork, the city will conduct inspections and load assessments on more than 50 bridges to prepare for broader repair and maintenance efforts.
The municipal administration has directed the Department of Construction to oversee implementation and report on its progress.
Any project changes or budget adjustments will require approval from the appropriate authorities.
