Vietnam plans gradual roll-out of universal hospital fee waiver starting 2026

Vietnam’s Ministry of Health is preparing a three-phase program to eliminate basic hospital fees for all citizens, aiming to ensure that by 2030 everyone can access essential medical examination and treatment through health insurance without out-of-pocket costs.
