By Wednesday afternoon, multiple hamlets in Ha Trung were submerged, with many houses almost completely underwater.

Residents said the floodwaters rose quickly from Tuesday morning, cutting off electricity and leaving people reliant on boats to move belongings and livestock.
Nguyen Van Son, a resident of Binh Lam Hamlet, said his family lost nearly 200 chickens and two fish ponds, with estimated damages of about VND400 million (US$15,200).
Pham Thi Quyen, from Chue Cau Hamlet, said her home, appliances, and farm were all submerged.
“I only had time to bring the herd of pigs and the flock of chicks to higher ground,” Quyen said.

Many families have built temporary shelters along the dike in difficult conditions, facing shortages of clean water and risks of disease.
Local authorities have mobilized police, military, and volunteers to help evacuate residents, protect property, and provide food, drinking water, bedding, and essentials.
Kajiki, the fifth storm to hit the East Vietnam Sea this year, made landfall in the north-central provinces of Nghe An and Ha Tinh on Monday afternoon.
The storm raged in the north-central region for over 10 hours, leaving many areas in Ha Tinh and Nghe An devastated and causing landslides and flooding in Thanh Hoa.
