On Thursday, shortly after Apple unveiled its new iPhone line-up, several Vietnamese retailers opened information registration portals for customers.
At Di Dong Viet, more than 2,000 people registered for information about the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone Duo within just one hour of the portal opening.
The iPhone 18 Pro Max accounted for 60 percent of the registrations, followed by the iPhone Duo, the first foldable iPhone, at 30 percent, while the iPhone 18 Pro made up the remaining 10 percent.
The burgundy version has also attracted considerable interest, showing that the appeal of the new iPhone generation lies not only in its design and technology but also in its color options.
“Vietnamese consumers are showing strong interest in this year’s iPhone generation,” said a Di Dong Viet representative.
At Minh Tuan Mobile, the number of customers showing interest in and registering for information about the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max has also increased significantly compared with the same period last year.
The 256GB iPhone 18 Pro Max currently leads pre-order demand at Minh Tuan Mobile.
The burgundy version is the most sought-after.

According to many technology enthusiasts and Apple fans, the two highlights of Apple’s launch event were the burgundy color and the iPhone Duo.
The arrival of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max came as little surprise, as earlier leaks had accurately revealed most of their key details.
Nevertheless, consumers remain highly interested, particularly in the burgundy finish.
Many expect the color to become the dominant choice among Vietnamese buyers of Apple’s new iPhone line-up.
A tech enthusiast said the iPhone Duo made a strong impression with its customizable nano-texture display, a premium glass treatment etched at the nanometer level to scatter light and reduce glare while maintaining sharpness and color quality.
The design also stands out for its sturdier construction and the aesthetics of its fold.
More importantly, Apple appears to have paid close attention to its first foldable smartphone, from interface optimization to the ecosystem of accompanying applications.
Price, however, remains a significant obstacle.
The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are priced US$100 higher than their predecessors, while the iPhone Duo costs as much as $1,999.
Such prices could prompt many consumers to reconsider upgrading to the latest models.
Yet, as it has been the case for years, a large number of Vietnamese Apple users appear willing to pay a premium to own the company’s newest products.
“The iPhone 18 Pro Max will continue to be the most popular choice, and the burgundy version will likely sell out,” said the tech enthusiast.
“Although the iPhone Duo is expensive, many consumers will still want to try it.
“Historically, most people who buy Apple’s iPhones are less concerned about the price and more interested in experiencing something new.”
The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are available in four elegant finishes: black, silver, glacier, and an all-new burgundy, according to Apple.
Pre-orders began on Saturday, with availability beginning on Friday, September 18.
